SS501’s front man Kim Hyun Joong alongwithBEASTrecently visited the Philippines for the K-Pop meets P-Popconcert which is for the benefit of young mothers.
During the trip, Kim Hyun Joong visited the Abierta’s House of Friendship and was awarded a special plaque of appreciation because of his special donation of 1,000,000 Philippine pesos (around $22,000). Here’s the rundown courtesy of My Cozy Li’l CornerandLOVEKIMHYUNJOONG.com
Other than attending the fan meeting on 18th June and the charity concert on 19th June, there was actually yet another important item on Kim Hyun Joong’s schedule in Manila, Philippines trip from 17th to 20th June, that is to receive the appreciation plaque from Abiertas House of Friendship – the charity organization that is the beneficiary of the concert- and also to visit the children from this organization/school. The organization had prepared it in thanks of his personal contribution of 1,000,000 pesos (approx Chinese yuan 150,000 or USD 22,000).
Kim Hyun Joong has already visited the actual site of Abiertas House of Friendship earlier this year. After seeing the condition of the school and the state that the children were in, he immediately decided to make a personal contribution of 1,000,000 pesos and this amount was transferred sometime in mid May.
The organization had immediately utilized his donation towards building the property for their senior high/college students. In addition, the organization will also name the said property after Kim Hyun Joong.
Further, Kim Hyun Joong had also agreed to participate in the charity concert held on 19th June, in the hope that his influence could raise more awareness and garner more support and help for these less privileged groups in the society, the helpless mothers and children.
As for the actual situation at this school and also of the organization’s deep love and appreciation towards Kim Hyun Joong, and also as to what activities Kim Hyun Joong had carried out in the school on that day of visit, I will be giving detailed description in my trip account later, so everyone, please do watch for it.
Some additional footnotes as follows:
The “Araneta Coliseum” that you see on the plaque is the name of the stadium where the charity concert was held. The original plan was to present this to Kim Hyun Joong at the stadium during the concert. But Kim Hyun Joong had declined the deed; he simply wanted to do something for them and didn’t want anything else. So the organization just presented him with their token of appreciation in the tiny conference room on their premises~~~~~
It was revealed today that SNSD’s Tiffany has been having issues with her throat recently again.
A representative said, “It’s fact that Tiffany is receiving treatment for her throat but it’s not serious. Although further tests are required for a more detailed diagnosis, long-term treatment isn’t required. To aid in a speedy recovery, Tiffany is being hospitalized for treatment.”
With Music Core happening in just a few days time on June 19th, and marking Tiffany and Yuri’s MC return to Music Core after a three weeks break, it’s still sketchy whether the former will return as scheduled. A Music Core representative expressed that they are aware of the situation and will make a decision soon.
We wish Tiffany all the best!
- Assess and compare affected and unaffected extremity.
- Assess for the symptoms of neurovascular deficits by taking into consideration classic 5 P’s : Pain, Paralysis, Pallor, Parasthesia and Pulses.
- Check for capillary refill to ensure adequate perfusion.
- Check sensory and motor function.
Note: Sensory function: Using touch, ask patient if the patient can feel the touch. Ask if the patient has any unusual sensation by taking into account epidural or nerve blocks. Ask patient to move the fingers or wiggle the toes. - Assess for warmth and edema.
Note: Some edema is normal if a limb has sustained trauma. Compare warmth above and below the site of injury. - If the cast or bandage is applied, ensure that the cast is not too tight by inserting two fingers inside the cast.
- Perform neurovascular assessment every hour or every four hours per hospital policy.

The CHEd also released the names of the 253 low-performing nursing schools as well as the top-performing schools in the country based on national passing average of 40.70 percent based on the licensure examinations the PRC administered last June and November 2009.
CHEd Chairman Emmanuel Angeles said that in National Capital Region (NCR) alone, there are 47 nursing schools that were identified as among the low-performing nursing schools. “This initiative is part of CHEd's commitment to monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing schools nationwide and to ensure the quality of nursing education in the country,” he explained.
Angeles added that this move of monitoring and releasing the names of low-performing nursing schools is made to answer the clamor of the public and education stakeholders of a more informative background on higher education institutions in the country. “It also aims to aide parents and students in deciding which schools could provide them quality education and their money's worth,” he said.
The CHEd and PRC – through its Educational Statistics Task Force – vowed to continuously inform the public of the results of board examinations and the ranking of schools all over the country in other professional licensure examinations in the succeeding days. “We at CHEd will publish in provincial news dailies sub-standards schools per region which schools did not fare well in licensure examinations,” Angeles said.
Last May 14, CHEd and PRC revealed that there were 147 schools that offer nursing program but have performed below the national passing rate of 46.14 percent for the for the past five years (2004-2008) in the nursing licensure examinations administered by the PRC.
The CHEd said that a more complete list of low-performing nursing schools per region could be viewed at the PRC website (www.prc.gov.ph)

GUESS WHO’S BACK, LET’S GO
THIS SONG IS ALL ABOUT YOU
I REALLY HATE YOU BUT I LOVE YOU
SO WHAT CAN I DO? NOW LISTEN
WHY DON’T YOU GET IT?
BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA
WE CAN BE SO PERFECT’
BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA *
SO BABY WON’T YOU COME TO ME,
I’LL MAKE YOU MAKE YOU HAPPY
* REPEAT
I CANNOT LET IT GO, I GOTTA TAKE YOU
* REPEAT
I CAN CROSS OVER THE SEA.
WHY DON’T YOU GET IT? BABY LET ME
LOVE YA LOVE YA LOVE YA
WE CAN BE SO PERFECT’
BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA
LET ME LOVE YOU BABY!
GUESS WHO’S BACK, LET’S GO
THIS SONG IS ALL ABOUT YOU
I REALLY HATE YOU BUT I LOVE YOU
SO WHAT CAN I DO? NOW LISTEN
* It hurts when I look at you, I fall short of breath, now hold my hand
Why, when that person does not love you?
WHY DON’T YOU GET IT?
BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA
Risking my everything, I cast this spell, ‘WE CAN BE SO PERFECT’
Even if the world becomes my enemy It can’t be
It can’t be anyone but you
BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA *
I’ve been waiting all this while
Sorry I’ve been sincerely desiring for
your long-time relationship, that pushed me aside, to cruelly end
Forget that person, now erase him
He was not a good match for you anyway
SO BABY WON’T YOU COME TO ME,
I’LL MAKE YOU MAKE YOU HAPPY
* REPEAT
At first I wished for your happiness
Even if it was by that person’s side I believed that if you were happy without me, that was enough
But I see your tears. I see your sadness.
I try to hold back but it’s no use. Now I’m worn out, crazy
I CANNOT LET IT GO, I GOTTA TAKE YOU
This is our destiny YEAH
* REPEAT
Why don’t you know? Why is it that person of all people?
Your painful love, I can’t bear to see it
Forget that bad love that bruised your heart
Now forget it PLEASE! I will save you, who is in pain
When your tears that are reflected in the mirror flow without a sound, without any meaning
My heart becomes completed ripped apart, I CAN CROSS OVER THE SEA
Please believe me, I’ll call the heavens as my witness
We will be our final love YEAH
It hurts when I see you.
I fall short of breath.
My heart hurts
Why, when that person doesn’t love you?
WHY DON’T YOU GET IT? BABY LET ME
LOVE YA LOVE YA LOVE YA
Risking my everything, I cast this spell, ‘WE CAN BE SO PERFECT’
Even if the world becomes my enemy It can’t be
It can’t be anyone but you BABY LET ME
LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA
LET ME LOVE YOU BABY!
It can’t be,
It can’t be,
Without you…
